METEORA
THE METEORA MONASTERIES extraordinarly positioned on seemingly inaccesible pinancles of rock could arguably be considered as the eigth wonder of the world. Six monasteries are open to visitors. A full day and night stop is recommended to fully appreciate this sight. For accommodation contact us on e.mail. jill@pelionet.gr

MILLINA
This is one of the larger villages in south Pelion with a population of around eight hundred inhabitants. In the summer season there is a lively and bustling atmosphere when locals from the surrounding villages and holiday-makers alike are enticed to the water's edge.

MONEY EXCHANGE
Volos is the banking center of the region. On the Pelion peninsula, banks -only two- will be found at Zagora. There are only a few cash point facilities. Therefore the foreign visitor should be prepared for the situation with a reasonable amount of cash. There are the tourist offices of Les Hirondelles, Fourways Travel which provide money- exchange facilities in Agios Ioannis. Fourways also has a branch office in Kala Nera. 'Houses of Pelion' provides the same service in Millina.
