Although there is are a vast selection of pot-plants for sale on the peninsula at very reasonable prices, there are no florists. All florists are in Volos.
The menu in Pelion restaurants and tavernas generally speaking consists of good, wholesome, simple, traditional food. Typically, lamb in lemon sauce, boiled goat, bean soup, spetsofai (peppers, sausages, in tomato sauce), spinach and cheese pies, grilled meat, an extensive range of "mezedes", (small dishes of appetizers). At the sea-side many restaurants offer several varities of fresh fish.
